Neck and hand malas, or rosary, are traditionally used for prayer and represent the never-ending cycle. Use them in meditation or to make your own connection with your spirit. Touch each bead as you recite your own mantra, affirmation or simply take a breath. Tibetans also wear their malas as necklaces and bracelets in order to bring the blessing of the mantras into the body's energy circuit.
Artisans: These malas are produced with the purpose to support Drepung Loseling Monastery and to help Tibetan refugee artisans preserve their endangered arts, crafts and culture by distributing their products. Many of these are handcrafted by members of the Loseling community and others who support it.
