Unique, Handcrafted Prayer Wheels from Nepal

At Boudnath in Kathmandu, one can almost always find Buddhist practitioners circumambulating the stupa, prayer wheel in the left hand being rotated continuously in a clockwise direction. As the prayer wheel is turned, the mantras inside are released to help bring peace and balance to the world. (It can't hurt to try.) The prayer wheel also acts as a focus for one's own energy, helping keep one's mind on the mantras and their meaning.

These handcrafted wheels, each unique, come in a variety of designs including copper, brass and wood. The outside of the prayer wheel is decorated with Om Mani Padme Hum. The inside is filled with Om Mani Padme Hum mantras printed on a paper roll. All prayer wheels come packaged in an attractive hand-made blue paper box.
